#Cuba is the first country in the world to receive validation from WHO for eliminating mother to child transmission of #HIV and syphilis. This is a major victory in the fight against HIV and sexually transmitted infections. PAHO-WHO have been working with partners in Cuba and other countries in the Americas since 2010 to implement a regional initiative to eliminate mother-to-child transmission of HIV and syphilis.
